I am researching the Peter Ashfeld I family. Rene' Andrieu of Croissy/Seine, France, is also researching the Asheld Family in Europe. Rene's wife is an Asheld.
The name "Asfeld" is the correct spelling but was changed to "Ashfeld"; when the change was made is not known. My Great Grandfather, George, went back to the "Asfeld" spelling.

Rene' research indicates a Henri and Agatha (Feist) Asfeld immigrated to the United States with their children in the 1830's. Their destination is unknown.

Peter Ashfeld I, (Peter's name may be misspelled on the records) Henri's son, according to Rene's records, was born, 5 July 1815. According to the death certificate I have, Peter I was born in 1814. Peter I died 1 Nov. 1889 at Cologne, Mn. His wife Barbara (last name unknown) died 30 May 1891 at Cologne, Mn. She was born at Baden, Germany about 1810. They had 3 children, Peter Ashfeld II, born 1843 in PA., died 17 Sept. 1866; Susan Ashfeld born 1845 in PA.; and Mary Ashfeld born 1849 in PA., and died 1 Dec. 1876 (where is unknown). The birth information I have for Peter I and Barbara's children are taken from census records. I have no bith certificates.

I need help finding "where" the Henri Asfeld family came to port, where they immigrated to, until the time Peter I came to Minnesota. The dates and other vital information I need are prior to adequate record keeping.
