The John Illenberger Family Home Page

The principal families in my genealogy are the Illenbergers of Nattheim, Württemberg. Germany; the Stiebelings of Gedern, Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany; the Kreymeyers of Hannover, Germany; the Brauns of Baden-Baden, Germany; and the Bauers of Hildburghausen, Herzogtum Sachsen-Meiningen, Germany. The Illenbergers have been traced back to about 1645 and the Stiebelings have been traced back to 1657.
My great-grandfather, Georg Christian Stiebeling was promoted in Gießen (University in Hesse) as a doctor in medicine in 1854 with his thesis on: De diabete mellito (in Latin).
