| The name Imbs was shortened from Imbs of Ingebretsen. As best as I have been able to determine it is from a farm in Norway. I was told that my grandfather Daniel John Imbs and his brother Frank and remainder of the family arrived in Chicago, IL. I am currently seeking out my origins and trying to find my living relatives. |
