My research begins with Thomas IRONSIDE. He may have been born in Scotland and traveled to Indiana in 1850? then on to Ill. where he married Sarah Cornman NASLEY (1857).He had one son George Wilson IRONSIDE b. 1858 Jackson Co. RELATED FAMILIES: Sarah Caroline MOREN married George Wilson IRONSIDE(1885) Her grandfather was Joshua MOREN (b.Va.). He traveled to Tn. where he married Rhoda GRISHAM, he died in Wilson Co.Tn.1824. Ky.William's father Matthew LAFOON b. 1727. married and had seven children, married again and had 4 more. He spent his life in Lunenburg Co. Va. He was the owner of a large plantation and grist mill. On August 1775 he signed "The Declaration for Constitution and Provincial Congress" He was a constable. He died in the Spring of 1789 in Brunswick Co. Va. ANDERSON/ANDREASSON/JORANSSON Peter b.1706 Del. married Catherina LYNAM,. Peter , Catharina their seven children, with families SPRINGER, STALCUP, and BRIMBERRY arrived in the colony of North Carolina in 1768, In 1787 they sold their land and disappeared, some may have ended up un Ky or Va.(their daughter Susannah married Isaac WEST).Peter's father Eric JORANSSON(Anderson) b.1666 Ft. Christina Del. His father was Andreas JORANSSON b. 1601 Gothenburg ,Sweden, he was the Captain of the transport vessel "Fogel Grip", along with the naval friget "Kalman Nickel" these ships were given the task to take the first expedition of settlers to America and colonize New Sweden. He married Sophia PAULSSON 1657. They are all buried at Old Swedes Church, Wilmington , Del.
