* The Irons Family Home Page*

Updated September 6, 2000

I am researching the Irons who lived in Upshur County, Texas in 1880. Edd C. Irons, my great grandfather according to the 1880 census was born in Alabama. He died in and is buried in Upshur County. I am also searching for information on his wife Sallie E. West, who is also buried in Upshur County, Texas. According to some family members Edd Irons may be kin to the Irons that lived in Hopkins County, Texas.
I am also researching the McKinley's that lived in Upshur and Gregg Counties of Texas in the 1860's and later. They came from North Carolina through Mississippi to Texas. They lived in Mississippi in 1850 and show up on the 1860 census in Upshur County, Texas.
