I have traced the Irvin side of my family to County Armau, Ireland. [1- Eugene Jr., 2- Eugene Sr., 3- Frank, 4- John & 5- John Irvin] However, have no other info. on the second John Irvin the one who who lived in County Armau. I found the first John's (that's John #4) marriage license in the McLean County, Illinois County Clerk's Office. He had married Alice O'Brien on September 19, 1883. He was 25. She was 24 years of age. The license listed "his" parents as John and Cathrine McPharlow. I have not been able to find any information as to what ship the second John (listed John #4 above)came over on, or any other information. The only two bits of information I have is the copy of his marriage license and his obituary. It did not list an age of his death. It was dated 11/14/1906 and stated he came to the USA at 47 years prior to his death. He had a brother named James, who was a "well known policeman of this city." That would be Bloomington, IL. With this considerable amout of information, I am still at a stone wall for any info on John # 5. If anyone has any information I would greatly appriciate it. Also, his son Frank (listed as #3 above) was married to an Eva Stewart who was Eugene Sr. mother. Frank and Eva diviorced. She remarried a Clyde Smith and moved to Pittsburg PA. There is a letter sent to my father dated 08/14/1942. I found it in his effects after he died. With the letter was the corner of an envelop which had the following on it. "A.W. Ferber Greenwood Cemetery Box 52 R.D. 2 Sharpsburg Branch Pittsburg, Pennsylvania." There is no explanation. It was just with the letter. I have not been able to loacte the cemetery or get any further information on my grandmotehr Eva Steward Smith. All information would also be greatly appricaiated.
