* The Bitts Family of Eastern Pennsylvania*

Updated September 5, 2000

I am researching the following surnames:
Bitts and Kline

The Bitts family of eastern Pennsylvania changed their name from Beach to Bitts back in the 1870's.

I am also trying to locate any and all information that can connect Rebecca Kline with the Blackfeet Indian Nation. It is believed that Rebecca was of the Blackfeet Nation and was sent from Montana to Carlisle, Pa. by train to attend the Indian School there.

She was later adopted by Rudolph and Annie Kline.

Rebecca later married Jacob Lester Bitts, both Rebecca and Jacob were born in 1873. The marriage took place on May 29, 1892 in Lancaster County, Pa. by J. B. Funk. Rebecca was eighteen and Jacob was nineteen years old. They had six children: Harry H. Sr., Maris, Rudolph, Margaret, Mable & Marie.

Any information than I may recieve would be appreciated and I would also be happy to share the information that I now have. I have 8 generations listed on my family tree with alot of empty spaces. I need help!!!!
