* Walker HOWARD & Margarette Ann FRIDDLE Descendants*

Walker HOWARD was born about 1852 somewhere in Missouri. His parents are unknown at this time. He is on the 1880 Logan Co. AR census with his young wife, Margarette Anne FRIDDLE and two of their children. Margarette's folks live nearby. By the 1900 census Margarette and her children are on the Hunt County Texas census. Walker had died 28 February 1900 before the census was taken.

Martin FRIDDLE was born 20 December 1797 to George and Mary FRIDDLE near Hillsboro, Orange County, North Carolina. George FRIDDLE, his father died in 1805. In 1810 Martin with his mother migrated West and settled on Flat Creek, Bedford County, TN. There they cleared land and built their home. In 1818 Martin married Miss Dianna HUDLOW and over the years they had 14 children. Martin and Dianna spent their entire lives in the Flat Creek area. Dianna died 20 August 1880 at the age of 81. Martin died 16 October 1895 at the age of 97 years, 10 months.

Ishom GOFF was born circa 1808-1811 in South Carolina, and died before the 1880 census in Madison County, Arkansas. According to family folklore he came West on The Trail of Tears with his Cherokee wife, Sarena/Sabrina McBRIDE. Ishom and Sarena were married 21 January 1831 in Rhea County, Tennessee. The family is on the 1840 Bradley County, TN census, the 1850 Barry Co. MO census, and Ishom and three children are on the 1860 Madison Co. AR census. The last census Ishom is listed on is the 1870 Madison Co. AR census, Marble Township. Ishom is always listed as a "farmer" on the census records, however oral family history says he was a cobbler by trade, and blind in one eye due to an accident with a pegging awl.
