* The Isenberg Family Home Page - Nicholas Isenberg Jr. line*

Updated September 5, 2000

I'm just starting to collect the Isenberg family tree. Most of this has come from my relatives.

Nicholas Isenberg first came to America from Germany as a Hessian soldier, and story has it that he was captured by General Washington, who crossed the Delaware on Christmas Eve during the Revolutionary War.

After the war, upon getting out of the POW camp, Nicholas stayed, and settled in Tennesse, to avoid the persecution of the Victors.

I am interested in contacting any others in the Isenberg line.
