| This is the official Iwicki Family History Homepage. One of my hobbies is to collect and document the history of the Iwicki family. I have detailed family trees that document the Iwicki family both in the United States and Europe. The primary concentration of Iwicki's in the US was in the Chicago, Illinois area. By researching through US Census records, church records, cemetery records and old Polish obituaries for Illinois from 1880 through 1920, I have discovered approximately 20 different Iwicki households. All but a few of these families link back to the same "immigrant generation family" that traveled to America in the mid 1860s. The second concentration of Iwicki's was in the eastern Pennsylvania / New Jersey area. I was not able to find much for this area in the census records because of a poor record indexing system. I regularly corrospond with Medard Iwicki in Poland and we share the family tree (be it way back in the early 1800s). Please contact me for more information. |
