| I am currently working on the Overton/Harvey (south central Tennessee and North Carolina), Warner, Covert/Coovert, and Fielder (central Kentucky) families. South Central Tennessee: Paternal Great Grandparents - Edwin William OVERTON, b. abt. 1817 in VA., and married 24 Oct 1839 to Sarah Jane HARVEY, b. in VA. They were married in Williamson Co.,TN. They were the parents of John Tom OVERTON, b. 1 Jun 1859 (Williamson Co., TN). He was married to Mattie P. REED on 26 Jun 1890. Have found Mattie's mother's ancestors (LEGG) back to the 1600s! (WFT Vol 17) Central Kentucky: Maternal Great Grandparents - John Franklin COVERT, b. 5 Nov 1848 in Mercer County, KY; married 31 Jan 1874, to Mary Jane RUE, b. 5 Aug 1853 in Jessamine County, KY. They were the parents of Maud COVERT, b. 31 Dec 1885 in Jessamine County, KY, married about 1903 to Elbert Warner, b. 27 Dec 1879. |
