I grew up in Northern California, having only occasional contact with my relatives in Arkansas and Missouri. I married my high school sweetheart in 1984 and moved to a suburb of Washington DC where I finished my Master's in Education. We moved to a small village near Heidelberg, Germany in 1990. There, being so far apart from family and with time on my hands, I began researching our family tree.
