We know very little of the Cantlon history. We know Daniel Cantlon and Margaret Crowley(Cantlon), from Chicago, had a son Edward who came to North Dakota. We also know of three siblings; John, Ella, and Mary Cantlon of Chicago. Edward married Frances Catherine Woods in Minnesota. After Daniel died Margaret married John Carson. They had three children to this marriage. Robert, Margaret Mary, and Mary Jane Carson.

The Woods were from Sheldon, ND and were from Ireland, John Woods married Margaret Fieling (? on spelling could be Filing) who was German about 1892. They had eight children; George, Grace, Margaret, Gertie, Clara, Frances, Johnny, and Edward. John had a sister Katherine, and a brother Henry also from Sheldon,ND. Jack and Margaret (Maggie) lived on the Sheyenne River in Shenford Township, with the legal description NW1/4, Section 13.

Descendants of Anders Danielson were from Varmland, Sweden. There children were Anderson's. Some were in Minnesota and North Dakota.
