2. RESOLVED³ WHITE (WILLIAM², JOHN¹) was born Abt. 1614 in Leyden, Holland, and died Aft. 1687. He married (1) JUDITH VASSALL November 5, 1640 in Scituate, Plymouth, MA, daughter of WILLIAM VASSALL and ANNA KING. He married (2) ABIGAIL LORD October 5, 1674.

Notes for RESOLVED WHITE:
1638: Resolved moved to Green Harbor, now Marshfield, MA with his family. After marriage, he lived in Scituate until 1656, then moved back to Marshfield by 1662. It is known that he traveled to Barbados in 1656-7, probably on some business with the vast estate of his father-in-law, William Vassal, who died there in 1655.

Resolved lived in Salem from 1674 to 1682. He married Abigail Lord, widow, in 1674. He was a freeman of Salem in 1680, and served in King Philip's War under Capt. Manning in 1672. He returned to Marshfield after the death of second wife, and no specific death date is available. I

Notes for JUDITH VASSALL:
Judith is described as a woman worthy of her times. Judith arose in church and rebuked a complainer who was denoucing Quakers in court. Her influence over her husband's half-brother, Governor Josiah Winslow, eased the persecutions.
