Notes for Lars August Falkenstrom: Las August Falkenstrom was a tall, slim man with blond hair and a red beard. His house in Ejby Mark sat very close to the railroad tracks. Mom remembers him as a goat farmer, remembering the visits when she was a little girl. She didn't like the smell of the goats and that seems to stand out in her mind. i've found references to Lars as being a general laborer, a plumber and skilled "handworker." Grandmom Falkenstrom said he was a broken dish mender - saying he would "klink it."
While riding a bicycle Lars was hit by a car and never quite recovered from the accident. He died two years later at age 72.
Lars was married twice - the first time to Grandpop Falkenstrom's mother who died at age 29 soon after the birth of Tante Anna. He remarried and had more children (the names i don't know - except for a daughter Marie who moved to Copenhagen who Grandpop kept in touch with over the years)
More About Lars August Falkenstrom: Comment: Lars' second wife was said to have been very mean and Grandpop left home at an early age to get away from her. Later Lars had a housekeeper named Maren Olsen (not sure if she was a partner later in life). Emigration: 1874, emigrated to Denmark age 17. Occupation: Tinsmith. Residence: Ejby Mark, Denmark, near Odense on the island of Fyn (Funen).
