Notes for ROBERT MABE:
Robert Mabe Sr. moved from Albemarle, Va. to what was then Rowan County, NC. (Now part of Stokes Co., NC). He and Nancy Unknown, were the parents of 12 children.
Robert sold land he inherited from his father in Virginia and moved to Danbury, NC, probably by 1771.

Notes for NANCY MABE:
In the Albemarle County book of deeds, Charles Mayub gave his daughter some land in 1802. It can be assumed that Charles is still living in Albermarle at that time and that this marriage is his daughter's.
