Bill and Julie James have compiled the following Family Tree for their 4 children (Trey, Blair, Sarah and Rebekah).

________________________________________________________________

James Family surnames include (Partial list):

James
Mainous
Cornett
Morgan
Duff
Eversole (Ebersohl)
Sego
Combs
Blanton
Nance (Nantz)
Hazelip

The James family history has three confirmed (SAR/DAR)ancestor's (Samual Howard, Jesse Boling and William Cornett). One Ancestor, Samual Howard fought at Valley Forge with General Washington and later at Yorktown when Cornwalis surrendered (see pension statement on web site). Another, John Combs arrived in JamesTown, VA in 1611 on the ship Marigold. A third, Yost Ebersohl (later Eversole) landed September 3, 1739 on the ship "Robert and Alice" in Philidelphia, Pa. Another line are the Howards from Maryland (previously from England).

The Eversole lineage (formerly Ebersohl) includes a discussion of the French-Eversole war (feud) in Eastern Kentucky that took the lives of my great-great grandfather (Joe Eversole) and great-great-great grandfather (Josiah Combs). My web site has a book written by a reporter at the turn of the 20th century about the subject including the "Battle of Hazard" (Kentucky)

________________________________________________________________

Wyatt Family surnames include (Partial list):

Wyatt
Blair
Jones
Van Ness
Hutton
Winslow
Clopper

The Wyatt Family has one confirmed direct Mayflower ancestor, Mary Chilton who was on the original Mayflower arriving in 1620. The Wyatt's (or Wiot or Wiat) go back to England to the 1300's but there is a gap in the records from 1550 to 1660 when Sir Thomas Wyatt, Jr was beheaded by Queen Mary (Bloody Mary) for supporting the anti-catholic revolt to replace Mary with then Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth I).

There is also a discussion of William Edward Wyatt the rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Baltimore and Rev. Edward Winslow who was also an episcopal minister in New York City. Rev. Wyatt fought the "Unitarians". One of the Wyatt's direct ancestors are the Billop family and the house on Staten Island, NY was the sight of a famous conference with Ben Franklin and the British.
