2. MARK2 KENTON (JOHN1 KINTON) was born 1 Mar 1700/01 in Lycarus, County Down, Ireland, and died 16 Oct 1783 in Peter's Creek, near New Store, Allegheny, PA. He married MARY MILLER Jan 1736/37 in VA.

Just wanted to keep you updated on new information I've found on Kentons
in Fauquier County in the 1700's.
Mark Kenton employment with John Mercer There is evidence that Mark Kenton (Simon's Father) came to America on behalf of John Mercer. It was common in those days for someone to in for exchange for passage to America agree to work for X number of years for someone. Fairfax County tax records show a link between Mark Kenton and John Mercer dealing with Mark Kenton overseering what is now Rt 50 which requires further research. The Mark Kenton homestead was located on land owned by John Mercer. This information comes from research done several years ago by Ned Douglas of Loudoun County Virginia.
