| I am currently researching the family names of: Jaskowiak and Kozlowski,from the Poznan/Posen region of Poland from around 1892, also the family name of McGahey from Ireland and/England who immigrated from around Durham, England, after leaving Ireland (county unknown). Further family names of Sayers, Thirlaway from Great Britain (around Durham) and Strzyzewski and Sierzchula from Poland. I have John (Jan) Jaskowiak (b. May 6, 1870 Ujazd, Poland d.May 29, 1956 in Chicago, Il. as immigrating in 1892 from Poznan,Poland to the USA with his wife Katherine b. Nov 5, 1870 Kloryntynowo, Poland d. Feb 14,1922 in Joliet, Il (Strzyzewski ). For the Kozlowski family I have : Lawrence Kozlowski b.abt 1834 in Poland d. Mar 3, 1921 in Joliet, Il and his wife Antoinette (Matieszewski) b. abt 1836 in Poland d.Jan 12, 1920 in Joliet, Il. For the McGahey family: William Edward McGahey b.Oct 14, 1892 in Grundy County in Illinois d Jul 8, 1962 his wife Maude (Sayers)b. Mar 21, 1896 in Grundy County, Il d. Jan 11,1976 in Joliet, Il. Also William McGahey b:01-08-1855 d:02-25-1937. Any information would be appreciated, also I would be willing to share information I have. |
