| Presently I am researching my paternal ancestors. Juan Huerta Jaurique (Jauregui) and Candelaria Magallanez Marquez were born in Zacatecas, Mexico. Juan was born to Jose Victoria de Jauregui and Petra Huerta in La Estancia, Nochistlan Zacatecas on June 24, 1885. Candelaria Marquez was born to Juan Marquez and Maria Juana Magallanes in Sain alto Zacatecas, on February 22, 1900. Juan Jaurique and Candelaria married in La Mesilla, New Mexico in February 1915 and lived in Las Cruces until their deaths. I have been able to obtain marriage information for Juan Jaurique's parents, but have been unable to find out anything further. My maternal ancestors come from Mocorito, Sinaloa, Mexico (grandmother) and Batopila, Chihuahua (grandfather). Although I have a great deal of information on my grandmother, information on the parents of my grandfather (other than their names) is still unknown. I am also helping my husband to research his ancestry. The Reyes family origins appear to be in Camargo Chihuahua, Mexico. |
