FIRST OF ALL;
I'd like for everyone to know that the long awaited Phillips Journal (2004) is complete and ready for your review and study. I'm hoping that many of you will acquire the journal for use as a reference in your own genealogical research. The more minds we put together about studying our individual family branches, the better we will understand the final tree. A master copy of both the journal and CD have been donated to the Oconee County Library - Genealogical Department in Walhalla, South Carolina.
This journal has a high concentration of Phillips in the southeast United States, but it also has many other branches of the tree which established their roots all across the United States as well (almost in every state). You just might find your branch in this journal, check it out! And, then again, you might be able to connect your branch to this journal. A lot of research would be done for you if you could, and you would be contributiing to your family at large. "The Phillips of Wales Settle in America" journal is complete. It has approximately 294 pages that includes; 4,045 individuals, 1267 marriages, 771 surnames, covering 14 generations and 408 years of genealogy. Included also is the three family crest from Wales, Ireland and Scottland. Two main charts are contained in the journal that are; a Generation Chart and a Kinship Chart outlining the surnames aphabetically. Some history of the Phillips immigration into America as well as the migration throughout America is mentioned. In addition to the journal, there is a CD available that includes even more information, some 19,000 + text documents. The CD includes the master file for use with Family Tree Maker software, 7 charts of various importance and over 300 photographs, some dating back in history to the invention of the camera.

SECONDLY;
I am working with a Genetic DNA Lab in Texas to conduct surname DNA testing for our surname "Phillips". The purpose of this DNA Project is to acquire as many Phillips men who were born here in the United States together for the purpose of establishing a DNA profile for our surname. Every paternal Phillips male can participate. Only the male; as the DNA chain being studied is only from father to son, not to daughter and not from the mother. And, only one male from a specific branch of the tree need be tested; as all males of the same branch would be identical. Please see my website at about this DNA Surname Testing: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Phillips-America. The project name when viewed from the main familytreedna.com website during a search is "Phillips-America" Since there is currently two Phillips surname projects on going; the other project is looking for Phillips's world wide. My project is concentrating on American born Phillips's only. The website should be clear in explanation but if you still need assistance contact me directly at the information below. Anyone who believes they are related to the Phillips surname are asked to contact the journal's author and researcher, and DNA project Administrator at: "emailjulia@earthlink.net".
THIRDLY;
