| This is research compiled by Judy Jebian and Jayne Pawlisa, granddaughters of Gladys Coats.This search began as an attempt to complete the Garfield line and possibly show our relationship to the President, James Abram Garfield.In our search, we were delighted to be able to establish the parentage of Elbridge Gary
Chapin and thus the Chapin line was added.Then we found the Otis and the Brewer line.The search has been in the states of New York and Massachusetts primarily.The Robinett and Smith lines were researched by other members of the family and we have not, as yet, started to document those lines---All in due time.
