Christopher Columbus Ray (son of Stephen D. Ray, Jr. and Elizabeth Smith) was born 1837 in Kentucky, and died August 06, 1906 in Valley Springs, Boone Co. Arkansas. He married (1) Elizabeth C. Snow on January 19, 1874 in Boone County Arkansas. He married (2) Margaret A.M.Rogers on February 29, 1876 in Boone County Arkansas.
Notes for Christopher Columbus Ray: Christopher C. Ray enlisted in Co. B, Col. Dobbins' 1st Arkansas Cavalry at Madison, Ark. He was detached as a blacksmith by order of Col. Dobbins May 1, 1863. Dobbins Unit was broken up in January of 1864 and Pvt. Ray was sent to Morgan's 2nd Arkansas Cavalry
