Jeremiah Stover (son of Jacob Stover Jr. and Ruth) was born Abt. 1745 in Virginia, and died 1807 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. He married Mary on Abt. 1764 in Virginia.
Notes for Jeremiah Stover: He was listed in the 1790 Federal Census in Orange County, North Carolina, and the 1804 tax list. Jeremiah fought in the American Revolution. One such story about Jeremiah was that he was one of General George Washington's bodyguard and that he was captured by the British and was placed in prison until the war was over. The land in North Carolina was bounty for his services.
