Margaret (?) was born Abt. 1736 in Morris County, New Jersey, and died December 1816 in Tomlinson's Run, Brooke County, Virginia. She married John Cuppy on Abt. 1754 in New Jersey?.

Some sources say her last name was Parker; it may have been DeVore. There is no documentation proving either. Some say her father was John Parker whose wife was Elizabeth (?). She had a brother, Benjamin Parker, and a sister Anne Parker who married John DeVore.
In the Draper papers, John Jr. tells that, in 1764, his family was living in John Kuydendoll's Fort because of Indian problems. His mother, however, had gone to their farm to milk the cows. She became apprehensive and quickly returned to the fort. A few minutes later 2 wounded men came to the fort. They had been ambushed by Indians hiding in the Cuppy orchard.
Margaret was born 1/9/1722 in New York and Christened at the Dutch Reformed Church on an unknown date. She did died in 1816 but I don't know the month and the year. Her father and mother were Teunis (Thomas) DeVoor and Gerrtje Barkyet. Teunis was born in 1696 in Bloomingdale Essex County New York. His father was Jean DeVoe, which the Dutch translated into John DeVoor. Jean was born in 1655 in Sedan, Ardennes France. In 1676 he married Jannetje Van Isselstyn. He died around 1724. His will is dated 4/13/1724. He married a second time to Mary Van Woggelum. The date of Jannetje's death is unknown. Please note that David was David Du Four when he immigrated again the Dutch changed the spelling several times. Jannetje's parents were Jan Willems Van Isselsteyn and Willemjte Jans. Jan Willems Van Isselysteyn and Willemjte Jans were born around 1625 and married around 1647.
