My mother had cancer of the tongue. She had surgery July'2003 to remove it and rebuild her jaw. During surgery it was discovered that the cancer was also on the main vein in her neck on the right side. It was inoperable. She had a very hard time her last few months from radiation treatment, not being able to talk right, a feeding tube, not being able to sleep in a bed, and . She became very frail and couldn't hold her head up very well. She is suffering no more.
