I am researching the following families: (1) JELLENC -- early 1900's in Clarke or Lauderdale Co., MS. Prior to that, maybe Slovenia or vicinity of Yugoslav/Hungarian border. My grandfather, JOHN STEPHEN JELLENC came thru New York to Mississippi. It is said he was a stave maker. (2) JACKSON -- Also in Lauderdale Co., MS in early 1900's. My maternal grandfather was ANDREW SUTTLE JACKSON. (3) CARTER -- The family of CLAUDE IVEY CARTER in north Alabama, early 1900's. (4) LAUBENTHAL -- The family of BRIDGET LAUBENTHAL in or around Decatur, Alabama, or possibly Tennessee, early 1900's. |
