NIDAY, Doris J., 66, of Troutville, went to be with the Lord,
Friday, December 3, 1999. She was a member of Rainbow Forest
Baptist Church, and also attended Flatwoods Church of God of
Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and
Alice Jennings, three brothers, Jack, James, and Leroy Jennings,
and one sister, Margaret Wilhelm. She is survived by her husband,
Gordon P. Niday; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol
Ashbrook of Roanoke, Tonya and Alan Plucker of Columbia, S.C.;
one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Susan Niday of
Charolette, N.C.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Judy
Jennings of Salem, Malcolm Jennings of Roanoke, Kenneth
Jennings and Elsie of Moneta, Bruce and Glenna Jennings of
Buchanan; a special sister-in-law, Dot Jennings of Roanoke; six
grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and
nephews. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held 2
p.m. Monday, December 6, 1999, at the Rader Daleville Chapel,
with the Rev. Roy Trout, Rev. Rick Via, and Rev. Michael Grooms
officiating. Entombment will follow in the Old Dominion Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and
7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may
be made to the Flatwoods Church of God of Prophesy, 2088 Old
Fincastle Rd., Fincastle Va. 24090.
