Said to have gone to PA as a young man locating first in York Co, PA, then Huntington Co, PA and finally in 1801/3 he arrived at Lawrence Twp, Clearfield Co, PA which was at that time still a part of Centre Co, PA. In 1871 he moved to Bradford Twp, Clearfield Co, PA. John Owens and Abram Leonard came at the same time. They were neighbors in Huntingdon Co, PA. Both John Owens and Abram Leonard are buried at Owens Cemetery.

.............................................................................................Robert Graham emigrated from Ireland to Huntingdon County in the last decade of the 1700's and with his family located in Lawrence Township in 1908 where they lived nine years, whence they went to Bradford. Here Robert died and was buried in the old Ross graveyard opposite the mouth of Surveyor's Run. Since it was the custom in those times to bestow some nickname on every family, the family of Grahms were called "Grimes," a title that remained with them for many years and was thought to be their actual surname by new settlers. ..............
