Levina Padgett (daughter of Wiley Padgett and Lavinia Nancy McSwain)^{9156, 9157} was born 1855 in North Carolina^{9158, 9159}, and died date unknown. She married Julius Logan McSwain on Abt. 1875 in Arkansas County, Akansas⁹¹⁶⁰, son of George McSwain and Catherine Weathers.

Notes for Levina Padgett:
Julius' wife is listed in the 1880 census as Viney. This is a nickname for Levina (Lavina) or Lavinia. The surrounding circumstances and ages lead to the impression that Julius' wife Viney is Levina Padgett, daughter of Wiley and Lavinia (Levina, Lavina) Padgett. Several members of the Padgett and McSwain families married each other over two generations. Lavinia herself is a McSwain. Another daughter of Wiley and Lavinia, Martha Elizabeth, married a brother of Julius, Phillip K.

It appears from similar extensive circumstantial evidence, that their sister Harriet L also married one of the McSwain brothers, George B. They are of the ages to match the later reports for their spouses, and the two families were living close together in North Carolina, moved to Tennessee together, although living a few counties apart in the 1870 census, and then settled in the same location in Arkansas.
