Notes for Larry Wayne McSwain: There is a discrepancy in the death date from two sources. Larry's gravestone in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel, Arkansas, gives a date of 7 Jun 1987. The date reported in the Social Security Death Index, however, is 6 July, 30 days later. You would think the date on the grave was correct, but records are supposed to be accurate on official registers like Social Security. I later discovered that the online SSDI info differed form the transcriptoin in the earlier Disk set. The date there was the same as that on the gravestone.
The date in June has also been confirmed by his nephew Russell Irvin McSwain in personal email correspondence. Russ attended Larry's military funeral.
Social Security reports DeWitt, Arkansas, as the place of residence at death.
