Louis' census birthday of August 1883 also differs from that reported by one family genealogy 12 December 1882. Another genealogy, however, reports Louis' birth as only the year 1884.

Louis is reported as Louis S rather than Louis C. Also his age is a little uncertain. The number looks somewhat like 40, which is how Ancestry.com interprets it. But the zero is not an open circle, and has curves very much like a quickly-written 8. His birthday reported from family genealogies is 12 December 1882. This would match an age of almost 48 at census time in 1930. If actually born in December 1882, he would only have had his 47th birthday 4 months before the April 1930 census.
