This site presents family genealogy based on research by Orville Boyd Jenkins. It begins with the Jenkins-Terry and Gregory-Green families in Oklahoma, tracing back along migratory routes from South Carolina and Georgia. These are extensively commented and documented. Many recent additions have been made in the descendant lines, especially in California.

Primary names along this route are Jenkins, Gregory, Green, Terry, Taylor, West, Mullins, Mullinax, Strange and Le Strange. I have verified the Le Strange generations back to 1022.

Jenkins links go back to South Carolina before the American Revolution, primarily Pendleton District (Anderson and neighbouring counties) and the neighbouring North Carolina areas. Terrys center in Murray County, Georgia, from origins in South Carolina and Virginia. I have not yet been able to make the connection to Ireland, France or England. I have recently expanded the parallel lines of Terrys migrating to western states.

This database also explores McSwain, Dumond and related lines in Arkansas County, Arkansas. McSwains have now been fully verified and commented in multiple lines through Rutherford and Cleveland Counties, North Carolina, back to Isle of Skye, Scotland. Padgetts have now been connected the the McSwains and commented.
