| I am researching the Jennings family from Cascilla, Mississippi. My great grandfather, Marcus Dudley Lafayette Jennings, was born in Cascilla on December 22, 1860.I am trying to find information on his birth father, who may have died in the Civil War.Marcus's birth mother was Martha Howell.Martha remarried in about 1867 to Andrew Jackson Newton.Andrew and Martha had 4 children. Marcus and his wife, Susanna Loyd had 7 children,at least 6were boys.The names of the sons that I know about are: Thomas Dudley Jennings, Johnny Lafayette Jennings, Orange Agusta Jennings, Plutus Trinity Jennings, Jessie Alvin(Alvy)Jennings, and Irey Otto Jennings.
