My family names on my Father's side are Jeppson and Blackburn. The Jeppsons imigrated from Sweden to Utah in the 1800's. The Blackburns imigrated from England to Utah in the 1800's. My family names on my Mother's side are Belnap and Read. The Belknaps imigrated from England to the US in the 1600's. Back a few generations the k from Belknap was dropped to form Belnap. Gilbert Belnap and his wife Adaline Knight came across the plains to Utah with the early Mormon Pioneers. The Reads imigrated from England to Utah in the 1800's. The family names of my wife on her Father's side are Francis and Dennis. The Francis family was in Virginia in the 1700's. Her branch of the family eventually settled in Indiana. The Dennis family was in North Carolina in the 1700's. They were Quakers. This branch of the family also settled in Indiana. The family names of my wife on her Mother's side are Cragun and Mathews. The Craguns were originally from Ireland or Scotland. Imigrated to the US in the 1700's and moved West with the Mormon Pioneers in 1800. The Mathews imigrated from Wales to Utah in the 1800's. |
