Frank E. Hahn---Passd away in Sonoma, California Tuesday March 9, 1999.
Loving husband of Mary V. Hahnfor 51 years, cherished step-father of David Marchus and his wife Dominee. Frank is survived by four grandchildren, his dear sister Ruth and her husband Lester Ensminger of West Point California; caring brother Clarence and his wife Florianne, Pittsburg, California; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was a State of Calif employee serving for 43 years. At the time iof his retirement in 1974, Frank was serving at the Sonoma Developmental Center where hw wae the landscape supervisor. In this position he was responsibale for the planting in 1938-1939 of the beautiful Red Oak trees which still line Arnold Drive thru the hospital grounds to this day. Frank also served with the Division of Highways, Yountville Veteraans Home, Napa State Hospital where he met and married his wife Mary in 1947.
Frank enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1942 and served with the Thrid Marine Division mostly in the South Pacific until the end of World War ll.
Frank was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Temple Lodge No. 14, Sonoma, California for almost 60 years. He was also a member of the Santa Rosa Scottish Rite, member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Sonoma Valley Lodge No. 2048 and a life member of the California State Employees Association.
A devoted family man, Frank was a friend to many, his valued counsel will surely be missed. "Well done, good and faithful brother!"
At his request no funeral services will be held.
