| Hello all. I am researching the Jette Family. I recently received a wonderful book from my "step mother", Jeanne Jette Gauthier - and now I want to expand where she left off. My father was Ernest Paul Jette; his father, Ernest Jette, unfortunately died when my father was 3 months old. Hence I have lost touch with the many Jette cousins/uncles on his side of the family. I do know that he is a 10th generation descendent of Urbain Jette (1627 - France). My great great grandfather was August Jette, who had 5 sons (Ernest, Armand, Pierre, Josef, and Conrad). My grandmother was Evelyn Gauthier, one of 10 children of Cyril Gauthier and Florence (Arsenault - or Snow) in the late 1980's. Intrestingly, my dad remarried (2nd marriage) to Jeanne Anderson in the early 1960's. My dad Ernest Paul died in 1992 and several years later, Jeanne married Henry Gauthier. Henry was born 3 weeks before Ernest, to Florence and Cyril, making Henry my dad's Uncle. My mother was Olive May Lacaire, nee Carlson. Her father was Emile Armand Lacaire (1893-1956) and her mother was Estelle Carlson (1899 - 1965). Olive had a brother Philip Lacaire. We grew up in Spencer Massachusetts in the 50's through 70's. My brother Stephen Anthony Jette still lives somewhere around Spencer. My sister Martha Ellen Jarvis, nee Jette lives in Windsor Locks, CT. |
