* Jack Poole & Ann Poole of Jefferson County, Georgia*

Updated June 29, 2005

I am researching the family of Jack & Annie Poole of Jefferson Country Georgia. Alot of information was passed down to me from grandfathers, grandmothers, great aunts & uncles, cousins and so on. Things came together when I found my great great grandfather and wife on the 1870 census.

My search has been refined to my great great grandmother Annie Poole who I discovered was born in North Carolina and was brought to Georgia. Though both were born during the later years of slavery Jack(1828)& Annie(1840)she went through more while having 7 children with her mate (Isaac, Kitty, Sarah, Ella, Charles, Fannie, Hannah), and had 2 separate children from 2 separate white men (Alice & John). Even though that would cause envy to some or jealousy to others, all of the sisters and brothers knew one another and communicate that to their children.

The search for family members is an ongoing task that has made me very proud to know where they come from and amazed on what some had to go through.

Any information that involves my family would be greatly appriciated and I would be happy to share some of the things I learn about different members of my family.
