My Johnsons of Illinois Home PageUpdated July 8, 2008 |
The weakening family unit is one of the chief failures in American life today. The family is no longer the agent of positive influence that it once was. The strength of our nation and the Church is found in the well-being of the family unit. We are never too busy, life is never too fast, for us to give less attention to family. The struggles of our ancestors have given us our present opportunities. We should, at least, remember their names and something about them. I have received a lot of information from the work of others. I hope they won't mind if I share it with everyone. I am still looking for family background on Wyatt Johnson, born Sept. 26, 1847, in Phillipstown, IL., died Apr. 18, 1896, Burnt Prairie, IL. He is my Great Grandfather. |
