USO during World War II for servicemen and POW's. Head of the Red Cross in
Western Lane County for about 25 years. Drove an ambulance throughout the war.
Worked as a police dispatcher. An accomplished pianist, organist and
composer. Produced at least one LP record of music reflecting the moods of the
sea, playing the organ and another person on piano.
