| The JOHNSTON Family (and also the McCAMBRIDGE's) came from Northern Ireland and settled in Chicago in the late 1800's. The BROSE family (and also the GRAMS family) came from Germany in the 1880's and settled in central Wisconsin. Other German names in which I am interested are KOBOLDT and HOEFT. The WILSON, PEARSON, and PORTER families came from England, and perhaps Ireland, in the early 1800's and settled in Canada. Some early American Colonial Lines included are: LeROY, KING, WILLCUTT, WINTON, and WAID. I would be happy to share any information; please remember that not all is completely proven. |
