| I'm a 43 year old native son from San Francisco, CA. My family genealogy starts on my father's side, Gerald JOHNSTONE. His father's name was Edward Osborne JOHNSTONE (from NY) and he married Annabelle MACKINNON (from Nova Scotia). My grandfather's father was Samuel JOHNSTON(E) and he married a woman named Minnie MICKLE (from PA). Annabelle's parents were Neil MACKINNON and Mary MCNEIL (both from Canada). My mother, Doris HURDLE JOHNSTONE is from the great state of Mississippi. Her parents, Maude ONEAL HURDLE and John Outlaw HURDLE are both from MS. As far as I know, these family lines trace back to the state's of TN, MS, NC & VA. The family names connected to our line are HURDLE, BOSWELL, WATKINS, OUTLAW, GAYLER, ISBELL and many others.
