My GGGGGgrandfather, Samuel Purcell was reportedly the son of Dennis Purcell and Susannah Biggerstaff. Samuel married Elizabeth Lawrence (1785-1859) in 1801, Mercer County, Kentucky. They moved to Nelson Co., Kentucky in 1805 and settled on the Rolling Fork River near what is today called Boston. They are buried in the Old Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery there.
