This photograph shows the farm of my Great-Grandparents, Tom and Edmonia Purcell Johnson in 1940. Highway 210 (aka: The Hodgenville Road) was brand new when this photo was made and was graveled. This photograph is looking southeast towards Campbellsville. The Johnson family store is shown near the road and the house, built 1939, stood a little further away. This farm was originally settled by Henry Shofner (1755-1847), a native German and veteran of the Revolution. He is my GGGGGGGgrandfather.
