This table belonged to my GGGgrandmother, Elizabeth Morris Johnson (1809-1889). It is solid oak, dates from the 1870s and was called and extension table. This table is noted in the 1889 inventory & auction of Henry Johnson's estate. It was appraised for $2.00 and purchased by my GGgrandfather, Louis H. Johnson, for $2.65. It was told that Jesse James ate at this table. I have no evidence and it is probably not so. If Jesse James ate everywhere he was supposed to have, he would have been so fat he would have never mounted his horse.
