William Decorsy Johnston was born in Los Angeles, California in either 1848 or 49.He was married to Jennifer Boulet from New Orleans.He had four children, Ruby, Chandle, William and Harry.Harry had four children, Victor, Glenn, Lorraine and James Robert Johnston.I have been told they are the decendents of General J. E. Johnston of Civil War fame.I am trying to prove or disprove this fact. I am James R. Johnston's wife June.I would appreciate any help or information.My second project is tracing my own family tree "The Fowles Family"who came from the east.He started the "North Broadway Truck and Transfer" in Los Angeles in 1919.In 1903 he boarded a two masted schooner names the "Catama" and traveled the world.His father's name was James Delose Fowles.Any information on this family would be very much appreciated.
