He is renowned for having over 30 children many of which were made saints. Brychan lived in the early 5th century and one theory is that he is descended from Magnus Maximux or Macsen Wledig as he was known by the Welsh. Magnus was Joint Roman Emperor in the latter half of the 4th century and ruled over Britain, Gaul & Spain.
