He married (1) Nancy Mason 24 Oct 1827 in Lyman, NH. She was the daughter of Parley Mason and Ruth Paddleford. He married (2) Caroline M.C. Hassler 22 May 1855 in Boston, MAssachusetts. She was the daughter of F.R. Hassler.

Notes for Orson Johnson:
The town of Monroe, NH was created in 1854 from the part of the town of Lyman where the Masons lived and the part of Bath where the Johnsons lived was added to Monroe in 1897.
      The following information on Orson Johnson was compiled by Wylie Johnson from various sources: Resided Bath, NH until 1835 when he moved to Kirtland, OH. Moved on to Trivoli, IL in 1840. 1840 census lists him as Farmer - 1850 as Innkeeper, and 1860 as Farmer. Candidate for County Commissioner 1844 subject to decision of Democratic County Convention. m. Miss Caroline M.C. Hassler, daughter of the late F.R. Hassler, Superintendant of U.S. Coast Survey, in Boston, MA on 22 May 1855. He is not found in the 1870 IL Census for Peoria County. He moved on to Riverside, CA where he died 23 Mar 1883.

Orson Thomas Johnson died 10 June 1916 from a cerebral hemorage,the body was intered in a vault at Rosedale Cemetery, Los Angeles, California on 16 June 1916. On 18 October 1916 a Permit for Disinterment was issued and the vault was removed to Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 East Florence Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90301, by Bresee Bros. Co. He is in vault # 729 of the Inglewood Mausolem.
