| Welcome to the Johnson Family Tree Home Page. Our core Family surnames are JOHNSON and WALTER. I am also researching my wife's Family of INGHAM and MALLETTE. The Johnson Family originated in Holland, traveling to New Amsterdam (New York), and then to New Jersey during the Revolutionary War. The family then migrated to Pennsylvania and then down the Ohio River, stopping in Kentucky. Part of the family moved north into central Ohio. The Walter Family originated in Germany, following the same basic route as the Johnsons, before landing in the Gallia County, Ohio area. My wife's Family, Ingham and Mallette, came directly from Ireland in the early 1900's. They lived in New York, Niagara Falls and Buffalo. Her parents met and married in New York and then traveled to Ohio. To date, the research of my wife's family has been the most difficult. We have a growing list of surnames. The reports listed below are only a fraction of the total data on file. These reports are rotated, depending on needs and requests. Modifications will be made when new information becomes available. Some of the disclosed information is copyrighted and is subject to all governing rules and regulations. I MUST CAUTION YOU. With the exception of the present Johnson, Walter and Ingham Families, all other information may be misleading. The information is as correct as possible. However, the exact order and links MAY NOT BE exact. When possible or available I have provided source data and or names. In these cases the information may be treated as reliable on it's own merit. I have recently discovered that much of my early Walter family information, although correct, is out of order. I am in the process of receiving corrected data and will continue my research.
