Hutson April 25, 1908 - Oct. 26, 1995 Funeral services for Bernice C. Hutson, 87, formerly of Seneca Drive, are at 11 a.m. Monday at the brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hutson, a former long distance operator retiring from the Newark Telephone Company, died Oct. 26, 1995, at the Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born April 25, 1908, in Newark, to the late Ora and Addie (Whyde) Collins. Her husband, Edward J. Hutson, died in 1948. She is survived by a daughter, Norma Powers of Newark; brother, Harold Collins of Newark; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A son, Richard Leon Hutson, preceded her in death, along with one brother and sister. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Licking County. |

Notes for Edward J. Hutson: Edward J. Hutson obituary E. J. Hutson Dies Quickly Edward J. Hutson, 42, electrician, resident of 72 East North street, was pronounces dead upon arrival at Newark hospital at 8:10 a. m. today after suffering a sudden illness at Heath refinery. Mr. Hutson, formerly employed by the Pharis Tire and Rubber company for five years, recently took employment with the Kellogg Construction company. He was stricken shortly after reporting for duty this morning and the resuscitator squad from Central fire station was called. He did not respond to treatment and was moved to the hospital in the Householder ambulance. Born near Newark, Oct. 13, 1905, Mr. Hutson was the son of the late William and Nellie (Finnegan) Hutson. Surviving are his widow, the former Bernice Collins whom he married Sept. 14, 1925; one son Richard Hutson of Newark and one daughter Miss Norma Jean Hutson of the home; also one grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Vermillion and Mrs. U. S. Nichols of Newark. The body is at the Householder funeral home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p. m. with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery. Dr. James H. Pollock, coroner is investigating the case and the cause of death has not been determined. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Edward J. Hutson, 72 East North street, who died suddenly Friday, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Householder funeral home and burial will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery. Notes for Ora E. Collins: Ora E. Collins obituary Ora E. Collins Ora E. Collins, 43, 138 S. 34th St., died at 9:35 a. m. in Newark Hospital where he had been a patient since Oct. 31. He had been in serious condition since undergoing surgery in July. He was born June 1, 1916, the son of Ora A. and Addie (Whyde) Collins. Surviving are his widow Anna Belle Collins, a daughter Carol Ann Collins and his mother, Mrs. Addie Collins Henderson; one brother, Harold Collins, two sisters Mrs. Bernice Hutson and Mrs. Edwin Deutsch, Central City. His father is deceased. He was employed in the filter department of Owens Corning for 17 years. Mr. Collins was also a private in World War II, and served in the European Theater. He was a member of the EUB Church. Friends may call at the Criss Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the Criss Brothers Chapel at 2:30 p. m. Thursday with the Rev.
